The Loretto is a perfect blend of ancient elegance with contemporary features- from the gorgeous marble stairs at the entrance, to the magnificent chandeliers and columns in the ballroom, plus the finely decorated bride and groom's suites- this area has it all! The space is arranged well, with a separate room for the bar and food buffet line. Additionally, the outside space is equally wonderful-especially with the circular driveway and splendid architecture of the building that creates amazing photographs. My husband and I stayed in the on-site honeymoon suite which was neat, roomy and comfortable-perfect after a long day!The preparation and the wedding day went without a hitch, all thanks to both Nora and John who were excellent to work with and highly professional event coordinators. They are laidback, attentive and VERY patient. Nora and John are the ideal group and we couldn't be more pleased with our experience working with them.We also employed Nora as our day-of coordinator and she was a MASSIVE help throughout the day. Nora worked ceaselessly in the background and did it all with a smile. I highly recommend her for your organizing requirements!~Mary & Ben Dreilingmore ...hide ...

This venue is a comprehensive source for everything. I had initially wanted to have the ceremony outdoors, but you can't control the weather, and it rained on our special day. However, we didn't have to leave the premises for almost two days, since the Loretto is so inclusive. The rental options added to the convenience of the event, with Airbnbs and Honeymoon suites, along with bridal and groomsmen suites. The location was clean and accommodating to all of our guests, and the fact that it's situated on one of the most popular streets in Kansas City added to the atmosphere. The chapel had a special aura due to its history, and what really made the decision for me was the bar. The layout was roomy and the dance floor was ideal for the celebration. Nora and John, the co-ordinators, were the best in the city. I cannot express enough how pleased I was with the Loretto, and I hope that the pictures capture some of the joy I felt on my wedding day.more ...hide ...

Tammy, the manager, is great, as is Ike, the maintenance worker. If you're fortunate enough to move in, it is, by far, one of the tidiest and best places in the area for the cost. The sole difficulties we've encountered are noise issues with upstairs neighbors or defective dryer machines. A few neighbors are peculiar, but most are pleasant. I had to call the police and 911 on a few occasions when neighbors were being loud and violent (I'm fairly sure one man was hitting his girlfriend). At one point, a dryer malfunctioned and the lobby was filled with smoke, but no one seemed to care when I warned them. I had to contact the fire department. You only pay for electricity and your own internet service. Our electricity bill was quite high in the early winter, so we taped up our windows and purchased curtains (it's a building that is a century old with plenty of windows). That's basically all. All in all, a good apartment, and I recommend it. ***Since I wrote this, Tammy, the manager, was attacked by an ex-resident and resigned. To be honest, there are many inhabitants who are filthy drug addicts. We moved out and bought a house in Wichita due to that reason. It's a great apartment, but it's not in a secure area and you will have suspicious neighbors.more ...hide ...
