I recently contacted the clerk office in search of an alternative to the situation I'm facing. I'm 20 weeks pregnant and have been told I must appear in court even though my family is all COVID-positive. I'm 20 weeks pregnant and have been told I must appear in court even though my family is all COVID-positive. My grandfather is in the hospital, fighting to breathe, while my child is having severe seizures and needs frequent medical appointments. Additionally, my mother is battling skin cancer and my dog has recently passed away, while my car was damaged in an accident. I have no one to look after my children, as my family is going through a lot. I have never met the person pressing charges against me, nor have I heard of her. The hospital informed me that if myself, my unborn baby, or the child's father tests positive for COVID at birth, they can legally take away my unborn baby until everyone tests negative. I'm at risk of endangering my own and my child's health, since I have already tested positive and yet I'm still required to come back in a few weeks. This is not justice. I wouldn't even rate the clerk office one star, but the lady hung up on me while I was still speaking, which goes to show how much my health is valued. I received a ticket in this area it was completely my fault so I had no issue admitting that however on the citation it says to contact the court within 10 days and I tried to call yesterday and again today already Their hours are listed open at 830a I received a ticket in this area it was completely my fault so I had no issue admitting that however on the citation it says to contact the court within 10 days and I tried to call yesterday and again today already Their hours are listed open at 830am and yet no one has answered the phone in a half hour its now 9am Not to mention I called multiple times throughout the day yesterday during business hours and every single time supposedly the phone line was busy Today it just doesnt go through says their closed when yet their open at 830 Super frustrated because I cant contact anyone When you go on the website I saw it had a different phone number to call so I called it finally reached a very sweet lady but it goes to Romeo and she couldnt help me because its not the same place Not sure what to do but I have tried many times now and unfortunately have to keep trying until I reach someone but this is just unacceptable and poor business more ... hide ...
