My mom lived there happily for seven years, but in June we moved her into a memory care facility and gave notice on the 9th. We finished moving out and turned in the keys on the 23rd (despite our 30-day lease not ending until the 9th). I had electricity cut off on July 2nd since no one was living there. A few weeks later we were charged $41.84--$6.84 for electric from July 4th-8th and $35 as a "recovery fee" because we supposedly shut it off early (the bill mentioned a recovery fee from 7/4/18 - 7/26/18). It seems like they wanted us to pay for their vacancy period. To avoid being ripped off, make sure you keep the electricity in your name until your 30 days are up!more ...hide ...
