In addition, despite conducting what appears to be regular bedbug examinations, nobody my friend knows of has encountered any and she has been living there for three years. It should be noted that inspecting for bedbugs does not necessarily mean there are any - many places do not even carry out these examinations. Built with HUD funds in the early 1970s, this building is intended for low-income tenants and so, if you are expecting a high-end experience, you must accept the fact that this is not the reality. Rent (typically about $600-700) covers utilities, access to a library, transport to grocery stores and retailers, food bank donations, and other benefits - plus, on top of all that, one can often enjoy sweeping views of Raleigh. Furthermore, it is within walking distance of a couple of supermarkets, a pharmacy, movie theaters, banks, and a multitude of eateries and shops. If you or your family have spent their years dedicating themselves to others and not to their savings, and are independent in the majority of respects, you will not find a better place in either Raleigh or Charlotte.
