I would like to start by emphasizing the fact that this is an Equal Housing Opportunity apartment complex and many residents that live there are either mentally or physically disabled in some way or are very lowincome families The apartment manager I would like to start by emphasizing the fact that this is an Equal Housing Opportunity apartment complex and many residents that live there are either mentally or physically disabled in some way or are very lowincome families The apartment manager Dominique Olivares is taking advantage of this fact and should not be allowed to work with these peoplennI would also like to mention that I did not have a functioning toilet in my unit for 2 months Dominique hired her mother as the onsite maintenance technician and she is not qualified Her mother could not fix the issue with the toilet and they did not attempt to resolve this at any point in time even with repeated written notices left to the office I eventually took matters into my own hands and repaired the toilet myself through YouTube tutorials Dominiques mother also failed to fix a clogged shower drain that I was able to fix myself with a bottle of Drano and a snake in shower drain This is how I am positive that Dominiques mother is not qualified to be the onsite maintenance personnel She was not able to address and repair even the most simple of issuesnnDominique also kept the 24hr fitness center locked at all times when she took over managing the apartment complex Because of this I could not use an amenity that was included in my lease and when I had an issue with my toilet I couldnt even walk to the fitness center to use the toilet there making for a very difficult and uncomfortable 2 monthsnnDominique Olivares the apartment manager at the time of my lease termination did a walk through with me as my lease was coming to a close Keep in mind that I was a lowincome resident college student and a single mother at the time After we completed the walkthrough Dominiques exact words were Everything looks good I accompanied Mrs Olivares to her office where I provided her with my keys and a forwarding address for the return of my depositnnAfter one month I called Dominique twice and left 2 voicemails and a text message inquiring about the status of my deposit however none of my calls or texts were ever returnednnTwo months after termination of my lease I receive a letter that was originally addressed to the address of the apartment from which I had terminated the lease It was rerouted to the forwarding address I had previously given to Dominique but was delayed in the mail during this process The letter informed me that Dominique had withheld my deposit and also claimed approximately 400 in additional damages beyond the amount of the deposit Dominique intentionally sent the letter to the incorrect address to ensure that I could not dispute these charges until after they had already been sent to a collection agencynnThese fraudulent charges included a utility charge that I paid directly to the utility provider as I had for the entire term of my lease I had never paid my utility charges directly to High Ridge at any point in my lease I was also charged to repaint the entire apartment which was not at all necessary I was charged for trash when there was none in the apartment when she walked through or when I leftnnFurthermore I am also aware that Dominique charged 250000 in damages to a former neighbor at this apartment complex unjustly Be careful if you do choose to live here and be sure to get everything in writing Dominique is shady and dishonest when she does business Do NOT trust Dominique Olivares at her word alone She will intentionally deceive you and will not honor her word she will try to extract every cent she thinks she can because she knows these people do not have either the capabilities or the resources to fight these charges a fact the Dominique takes full advantage of Protect yourselves Exploitation of disabled persons is a serious offense and is punishable as a Felony NCGS 141122 more ... hide ...
