Unfortunately, its age shows in plumbing issues from water being shut off and leaks that form puddles beneath the floating floor tiles. In addition, the bathroom fixtures were installed upside down, so a step ladder is required for changing a light bulb. The low-flow toilets were put in place of the handicapped toilets but were not secured to the floor. There are only two elevators, and though breakdowns occur less frequently than before, they still happen. The kitchen is a galley style, which is not wheelchair friendly. However, the appliances and environmental systems are new, and the cabinets are fresh, but poorly made. The windows are sturdy, but hard to clean from the outside. The superintendent staff works hard to keep up with the leaks and breakdowns, but the age of the building works against them. Security used to be 24/7 with cameras, but the overnight guard is gone, allowing people to sneak in through the back door. The office staff is a mix, as three different management teams have been in place over the last two years. There is a lot of confusion, but some helpful people as well. Be aware of their paperwork for rent subsidies and recertification process, as they are handled carelessly and papers are sometimes backdated before signature. The apartments are now heated and air conditioned, and the building is kept cleanmore ...hide ...

However, the age of the building is revealed in the occasional plumbing issues, such as water shutdowns and leaks that form puddles beneath the floating floor tiles. Additionally, the bathroom fittings have been installed upside down, necessitating a step ladder to change a light bulb, and the handicapped toilets have been substituted with short flush toilets which are not attached to the floor. There are only two elevators which experience breakdowns, though not as frequently as before. The layout of the apartments is not suitable for wheelchairs and the kitchen is a narrow galley. On a positive note, the appliances and environmental systems are new, the kitchen cabinets are new but not of great quality, and the windows are solid but difficult to clean from the outside. The superintendent staff are always attending to leaks and breakdowns, and they are doing their best to maintain the building despite its age. The security used to be 24-hour with cameras, etc., however, the overnight security guard has now been removed and residents are sneaking in people through the back door. The office staff is a mixed bag, with three different management teams in the span of two years. Confusion seems to be the norm and there are both helpful and unhelpful people there. Furthermore, the paperwork for rent subsidies is handled inadequately and sometimes the recertificationmore ...hide ...
