On April 27th, 2020 between 1630 and 1700, my girlfriend and I were strolling through the area when I was smoking a cigarette. A cleaning lady hollered from a third floor window and said, "Excuse me! You got that," before turning left onto Browning Road. However, soon after, we were surrounded by police officers who had received a call from an employee at the apartment building who claimed to have seen two people, matching our descriptions, looking into car windows. I am highly offended that this person would lie and cause the police to respond to a false claim. I am also embarrassed, as my girlfriend had just moved in with me and this incident happened soon after. We had simply walked straight down the middle of the parking lot and never even came close to any of the parked cars. The pandemic is at its peak in Camden County NJ and it is important that our police officers are not wasting time on such false reports, especially when they are caused by someone's egotistical behavior.more ...hide ...

A cleaning lady yelled out from a third floor window and told me that there was no smoking on the premises. I responded with a wave and an affirmation. We kept walking and were quickly surrounded by police officers. They ran our identifications and said they had received a call from your apartment building's employee about two people looking through car windows, which fit our descriptions. I am incredibly upset and offended that the employee lied in this manner, considering the current pandemic and the importance of police resources. We never came close to any of the vehicles while we were walking in the middle of the parking lot. It is appalling that our neighbors would call the police with false accusations and fabricate a story out of hate and egotism.more ...hide ...
