I had gone to the Rahway facility to use the pool, however, on many occasions the water was too cold. I waited to see if this would be fixed yet it wasn't. I informed the staff members of this but there was no change. So I decided to end my membership at that point. I phoned and the YMCA director Leonardo from the Elizabeth facility answered and it was not an easy conversation. He was very unprofessional. He stated that I had to go to the facility to sign a paper and would be charged an additional month. I asked him how they could charge me an extra month if I was not pleased with the service at YMCA. He simply said he was sorry but that was the rule. I was hoping he would comprehend my predicament and let me terminate my membership. They lured me in with the most affordable apartment, just to offer me two others not in my price range. I have yet to hear back from the leasing office, and this is disappointing considering these are brand new apartments/ new management. At the time I applied for the apartment, I was not informed other applications had been accepted. Buyers beware, they take your money and dont call back or email back. more ... hide ...
