I would not suggest this property. I have lived here for a bit more than two years. Initially, I enjoyed it; however, the rent suddenly rose from $910 to $968 because the property management company found a loophole. This is a moderate income property and a single person cannot make over $38,000, and a couple cannot make over $42,000. The place needs a full painting, not just patching of some areas. The carpets haven't been cleaned since the building was constructed - it only gets vacuumed. The downstairs patio is appalling. The furniture is broken, but Richmond Properties won't purchase new ones. The floor needs to be painted and it smells like cigarette smoke, as residents can smoke in or out of their apartments. The odour is nauseating. For each floor, there are two washers and dryers, but the dryer on the third floor and the washing machine on the second floor have not been functioning for months. Replacement parts are not available since the machines are old. Hookups are in the apartments, but buying stackable washers and dryers cost more than $1,100, which is too expensive for people with limited income. Cockroaches are a major issue. In a single bedroom apartment, there are at least six adults and an infant living there, with mattresses and blankets everywhere. Meadowbrook apartments has been open for about 10 year now There have been issues in the past but over the last 2 year or so things have improved dramatically The property manager Pablo and his team really made this feel more like home
