The building has undergone a renovation over the past two years and from the outside, hallways and public areas appear to be pleasant, bright, and tidy. However, the age of the building is revealed in the occasional plumThe building has undergone a renovation over the past two years and from the outside, hallways and public areas appear to be pleasant, bright, and tidy. However, the age of the building is revealed in the occasional plumbing issues, such as water shutdowns and leaks that form puddles beneath the floating floor tiles. Additionally, the bathroom fittings have been installed upside down, necessitating a step ladder to change a light bulb, and the handicapped toilets have been substituted with short flush toilets which are not attached to the floor. There are only two elevators which experience breakdowns, though not as frequently as before. The layout of the apartments is not suitable for wheelchairs and the kitchen is a narrow galley. On a positive note, the appliances and environmental systems are new, the kitchen cabinets are new but not of great quality, and the windows are solid but difficult to clean from the outside. The superintendent staff are always attending to leaks and breakdowns, and they are doing their best to maintain the building despite its age. The security used to be 24-hour with cameras, etc., however, the overnight security guard has now been removed and residents are sneaking in people through the back door. The office staff is a mixed bag, with three different management teams in the span of two years. Confusion seems to be the norm and there are both helpful and unhelpful people there.
