Was the home of my mother was just passed away She lived there for 13 years Many friends and memories made I met some nice people there Its a nice place to live for the city area The new management is not the best but leave it at that
My mother has lived at the Omni for over 10 years She is quite happy totally independent and her apartment is clean comfortable and well maintained by the Omni Corporation One item I could possibly have an issue with is that the hallways are dark My mother has lived at the Omni for over 10 years She is quite happy totally independent and her apartment is clean comfortable and well maintained by the Omni Corporation One item I could possibly have an issue with is that the hallways are dark and dismal quite depressing and painted an ugly green color that reminds me of bile Lighting in the hallways is not so bright and cheery so in this respect I think more additional hallway lighting not just above each apartment door but perhaps utilizing drop ceilings with florescent lightingnStaffing of the office has changed frequently during the last several years which is not a major problem but there should be a written book of guidelines that is followed for uniformity Each office manager seems to have their own set of rules and notices that are meant for visitors should be posted at the FRONT DOOR rather than a bulletin board in the middle of the facility If there are rules to be applied to visitors one would think that up front notification near the entry of the building would be more appropriate than hidden in the center of the building on a bulletin board meant for the residentsnA few of the residents feel that the Omni Senior Living Community is a babysitting service or a nursing home facility Residents should and need to be informed that personal problems with other residents are not the concern of the Omni corporation and that the rental office should not be burdened with handling personal issues between residentsnAside from the above security is a factor that needs to be addressed Having a keyless entry is wonderful but when you have residents allowing access to outsiders is not a very secure situation for the elderly Perhaps an intercom system with video connected to the rental office and securitystaffing during the off hours to insure the safety of the community residents I know there is a cost but one has to consider the value of a human life or home invasion vs the savings of not having a security staffmore ...hide ...

My mother has lived at the Omni for over 10 years. She is quite happy, totally independent, and her apartment is clean, comfortable, and well maintained by the Omni Corporation. One item I could possibly have an issueMy mother has lived at the Omni for over 10 years. She is quite happy, totally independent, and her apartment is clean, comfortable, and well maintained by the Omni Corporation. One item I could possibly have an issue with is that the hallways are dark and dismal, quite depressing and painted an ugly green color that reminds me of bile. Lighting in the hallways is not so bright and cheery so in this respect, I think more additional hallway lighting, not just above each apartment door, but perhaps utilizing drop ceilings with florescent lighting.Staffing of the office has changed frequently during the last several years, which is not a major problem but there should be a written book of guidelines that is followed for uniformity. Each office manager seems to have their own set of rules, and notices that are meant for visitors should be posted at the FRONT DOOR rather than a bulletin board in the middle of the facility. If there are rules to be applied to visitors, one would think that up front notification near the entry of the building would be more appropriate than hidden in the center of the building on a bulletin board meant for the residents.A few of the residents feel that the Omni Senior Living Community is a babysitting service or a nursing home facility. Residents should and need to be informed that personal problems with other residents are not the concern of the Omni corporation, and that the rental office should not be burdened with handling personal issues between residents.Aside from the above, security is a factor that needs to be addressed. Having a keyless entry is wonderful, but when you have residents allowing access to outsiders is not a very secure situation for the elderly. Perhaps an intercom system with video connected to the rental office, and securitystaffing during the \"off hours\" to insure the safety of the community residents. I know there is a cost, but one has to consider the value of a human life or home invasion vs. the savings of not having a security staff.more ...hide ...
