We stayed at Framark for four years, never late on rent. But our last month there, we encountered an unexpected financial issue. After that, I received a rather intimidating typed letter from them demanding the rent (which was only 288 dollars) or they would evict us. I guess when you're a millionaire, every penny matters, like for vacations, cars, etc. I would never recommend a Sermar property because they are like vultures, not good people. As of today, I still have not gotten back my security deposit due to the negative reviews I posted, which is horrible. If they try to keep money that is not theirs, I will contact the Attorney General and the BBB. Additionally, I took a video of the apartment so I have proof just in case. I wish they had done what was right, but like most corporations, they have not. In New York, the landlord usually prevails, however I will do everything I can to make sure fairness and justice are served. Laws should be changed since not all tenants are careless and overlook their rent payments. I did receive my security deposit back, minus two false charges. They charged me for a soiled bathtub and fridge which I had already cleaned, and I have video evidence. Also, they failed to provide me the interest for the four years, so I reported them to the Attorney General and posted on themore ...hide ...
