When it was known as HILLSIDE, it was much better than Eastchester Heights' "quality community" and whatever they call themselves now. When it was known as HILLSIDE, it was much better than Eastchester Heights' "quality community" and whatever they call themselves now. I lived in the area as a child and, as an adult, I wanted to come back mainly because of the roomy apartments. However, everything about this place is awful; waterbugs every day and more recently, mice in the apartments and large rats running around the premises. The buildings are not kept clean: the incinerators are overflowing in my building because they are not regularly maintained. Making appointments is the worst; everything is via email, but no one answers emails or even contacts you about issues in the apartments. I hate how infested it has become with waterbugs and mice and how some of the maintenance personnel have become so lackadaisical; they don't seem to want to do anything when you finally get them to service the apartments, brushing off your concerns and rushing through the work, doing a poor job. It's sad to say, but I really despise it here. I work too hard to be scared in my own home. For the record, I'm scared of waterbugs and mice. One star for the large rooms; Eastchester Heights Quality Community, you have to do better, please. more ... hide ...
