Most people are intimidated by the area but its not a bad place at all

If you want to never sleep this is a great place for you I have a neighbor who plays loud music at night Only after we called the police and the police submitted a report the manager did something The impact was moderate anyway since they still play If you want to never sleep this is a great place for you I have a neighbor who plays loud music at night Only after we called the police and the police submitted a report the manager did something The impact was moderate anyway since they still play music in night but at a lower volume We still weak up at 3 am because of the vibration of their stereo The same neighbor has the bathroom fan on all night We cant sleep because of the noise and the vibration The manager says they cant do anything about that The manager treated me impolitely when I brought it up and only after multiple complains they decided to do some maintenance on our neighbor fan Result we still dont sleep because we can still hear it all nightnOther neighbors are also noisy We often have to ask to turn down the volume of their TV stop using their exercise bike after 11 pm stop talking loud when smoking in the parking lot Finally car alarms and the garbage truck at 3 or 4 in the morning Impossible to sleep more ... hide ...

I lived in Dawson Park for about two years All of the information about drug dealershoodlums in the parking lot and the soothing sounds of garbage trucks 3x weekly in the wee hours of the morning which I was specifically told absolutely DID NOT happe I lived in Dawson Park for about two years All of the information about drug dealershoodlums in the parking lot and the soothing sounds of garbage trucks 3x weekly in the wee hours of the morning which I was specifically told absolutely DID NOT happen before I moved in is completely accurate and still true Homeless people go sifting through the recycling bins regularly late at night and you can hear them yelling at themselves and smashing the glass around Theres also the wonderful aroma of decomposing flesh and cigarette smoke on most of the floors and yes a barking little yip yip dog who nips at your heels as you walk by All the mailbox problems are true as well and I honestly would recommend a PO box if youre planning to live herennWhat they failed to mention on top of all of that is that only TWO people run this entire complex one office manager and one repair man The office manager posts minimal hours on her door ex Off Saturday through Monday 130430 on Tuesday through Friday type deal The ridiculous part about this is there are days she doesnt even show up for those few hours or shell come in for a half an hour and dip out before anyone can speak to her And dont bother trying to call she even admits she barely listens to voicemails Im very much under the impression that shes salaried and kind of just comes and goes as she pleases The repair man will only repair something quickly if the health or safety department requires it to be done Otherwise youre much better off repairing it yourself if you have the knowhow as youll be waiting a very long time or until after you move out like I did for him to do the job even after submitting multiple service requests Dont get me wrong theyre both VERY friendly and great people but that doesnt help me get my sink fixed or my rent inquiries answerednnThis complex has just two things going for it its cheap and in close proximity to all four quadrants of Portland Apparently theyve built a New Seasons Market a couple blocks away since I moved out so I suppose thats a bit of added value as well more ... hide ...
