PROS: Maintenance is prompt and does a great job taking care of the courtyard and other outdoor areas. I'm fond of the exposed brick in my apartment and the neutral colors for walls and carpets in the living room, foyer, and bedrooms. Additionally, I'm close to my children's schools and downtown Lancaster.CONS: I detest the colors and design of my kitchen and bathroom; they are outdated and don't fit the style of the other parts of the apartment I like. I would love to renovate those two rooms with more fashionable colors to make them look more modern. Additionally, I wish my neighbors were more empathetic to my situation as a single Mom with children with behavioral issues, who are mostly very quiet except for the occasional outburst during nighttime hours. People are always slamming doors loudly, creating a ruckus in the hallway late at night, and smoking, yet they still choose to complain about me. It only adds to my stress. Despite these issues, it's an okay place to live. If I was able to upgrade the kitchen and bathroom, it would probably get a 4 or 4.5 star rating. Also every two or three hours this particular neighbor is making noise with its machine all day and night also during the hours of 10pm - 8am which is noise ordinance hours. When this was brought to the attention to the building manager Michelle von Nieda by my lawyer she told him if i didnt like what going on here then its time for me to move. I have the email of her stating this. Ive been a resident here since the place opened 2010. Theres things going on here at dial apartments that is wrong and I made complaints but because it me who does it Im ignored, overlooked or disregarded. So dial apartments is the worst managed apartment building I ever lived at with favoritism towards certain residents.more ...hide ...
