I have lived in Yorktown my whole life, having graduated from Wm. Penn High School in 1978. My mother still resides on 12th and Girard Avenue. I've worked in the area at places like Eddies delicatessen, Kesslers supply company, and Cumbley and Sons, and even contributed to the construction of the Yorktown Arms apartments. Recently, I applied for one of the apartments and was delighted with Ms. Nicole Hamilton, who accepted my application and was very understanding of my needs. I signed all the paperwork, and was told that I'd be signing the lease before the week was out. However, when I called back to the manager's office, I couldn't get any response. On Monday, 08/03, I visited the office and found out, to my dismay, that Ms. Hamilton was no longer employed there, but I was met with Ms. Delores, who was very professional and courteous. I explained the situation and she promised to call me. I'm praying that I haven't been overlooked and that apartment #305 hasn't been given to someone else, for after 08/10/2020, I won't have anywhere to live. more ... hide ...
