Even thoughWe had an incident where maintenance personnel entered our apartment due to an emergency in the unit below us. We were warned that our cat sometimes comes to the door, so the leasing person should be careful. Even though such occurrences occur, we were taken aback when we returned home to find one of our bedroom windows open (without a screen), the HVAC door wide open, and our own door UNLOCKED!!! Our cat could have easily escaped or someone could have had easy access to our place to rob us. This is unacceptable and the property manager acknowledged that she had talked to the maintenance staff about it, assuring us that it will never happen again. It would have been helpful to have a clear explanation from the leasing office as to why entry was necessary; we were only told about a flush valve. After I called the emergency line to express my dissatisfaction, I got more information from the maintenance personnel. We were told that they may need to re-enter later in the week to finish the job. It would have been nice to have been given this information without requesting it. It is evident that communication is key between management and the maintenance staff. We are very upset and wary of entry in the future. The staff do not live up to the praise they receive in other reviews.more ...hide ...
