I had been on the waitlist here for three years, and upon being notified of a vacancy in July 2020, I was asked to go in person to fill out paperwork. Since the inhabitants there were mostly elderly, I felt it was highly inappropriate to be asked to take this risk during the pandemic, especially when I had to go out and find an identification document that I had lost, as the offices were closed. My daughter-in-law came to my aid, contacted them, and informed them she was assisting me. After that, they started communicating with her instead of me, even though I was the candidate and the one with the queries. They never answered my emails about living there, which information I would have required prior to the move. Three years ago, they also refused to show me an apartment, something that should have been given. For those three years, they never replied to any of my emails, and yet, when the apartment became available in 2020, they kept messaging my daughter-in-law. Therefore, I didn't get my answers and decided not to move there. PS - I was asked to present my Social Security card (which I had lost). When you are a senior citizen, your Social Security number is on almost everything. The Social Security Administration strongly advises against ever carrying the card, so I thought this was inappropriate as well.
