Lived there for close to two years and never had any issues with Shelley Ive never had issues when Ive had friends overnight Not once have I had Shelley show up unannounced As long as youre a nice responsible tenant she is more than accommodating I iLived there for close to two years and never had any issues with Shelley Ive never had issues when Ive had friends overnight Not once have I had Shelley show up unannounced As long as youre a nice responsible tenant she is more than accommodating I imagine the kind of people who call their landlords the C word online arent the type of tenants who you want in your apartment buildings anyhow And they are income based so Ive never heard anyone paying 1500 to stay there And if she did charge you that much you were probably over the income requirements anyhowmore ...hide ...
BEWAREnnThis place is terrible If Shelly is still the manager absolutely do not rent here She is horrible at her jobnnI rented from here in 2013 and had the worst rental experience of my life First off I had to call several times to even schedulBEWAREnnThis place is terrible If Shelly is still the manager absolutely do not rent here She is horrible at her jobnnI rented from here in 2013 and had the worst rental experience of my life First off I had to call several times to even schedule a viewing of the apartment where I discovered the rent prices were almost 100 more than advertised on the sitennI then signed the lease after signing Shelly then gave what can only be called a lecture about her Christian beliefs which may not seem relevant now but it will bennThings went on mainly without incident for the first few months of my lease minus having to try and shrug off multiple pushy invites to her church functions when I would go pay my rent just minor complaints everyone has with rentingnnEverything came to a head about 5 months in to my lease when I wanted to have my boyfriend move in with me I went to talk to Shelly about adding him and first off she told me I couldnt because I hadnt lived there long enough bear in mind there was nothing in the lease that said anything about that She then proceeded to have a long talk with me about how I shouldnt have him live with me because thats not what God would want and that I should try to live a more pure lifennIt then transpired that my boyfriend couldnt move into the apartment due to the income limits of the place so we decided we would find our own place together I then went to discuss with Shelly about my options for ending my lease early where she advised I had two options I could break the lease or buyout the lease If I bought it out I would just have to pay for an extra month of rent and lose my deposit If I broke the lease I would lose my deposit and have to keep paying rent until someone else rented the apartmentnnI understandably decided that I wanted to buyout the lease and told Shelly the same Aparantly she forgot to have me fill out a form to that same extent nor did she tell me there would be a form I would need to buyout either So I left under the belief that we were on the same page that I would be buying out my lease which she agreed to based on future events as wellnnI had set for my lease to end after my 7th month of living there About two weeks before I was set to move out Shelly called me and asked if I would consider breaking the lease instead as she had someone interested in renting my apartment and then I would only lose my deposit I wouldnt have to pay the extra month of rent I agreed moved out earlier than expected in order for the place to be ready for these people and went on my merry waynnI then got a call almost two weeks later from Shelly telling me that they werent approved and that if I still wanted to buy out the lease I had to do it that day or it would switch to a lease breakage as she was going on vacation or something for the next week I informed her that I needed more time and wanted to speak with a lawyer about my options which it turned out were none I then decided I wanted to buyout the lease and she would not give me that option any more big surprise I know and instead saddled me with a 3200 billnnI attempted to discuss this with Shelly as this was partially her fault for not communicating with me and she refused to admit that she did anything wrong or was at all responsible She also told me that she didnt feel that much of a need to try to find someone to rent my apartment since she didnt feel bad about how she handled thingsnnThe moral of the story dont rent if Shelly is your property manager she will not admit any mistakes she makes will give you countless talks about religion and then sit you with a huge bill to cover her assmore ...hide ...
