I wish I could leave a review without giving a star because the Overlook Apartments do not deserve one. I have been a tenant in the building for an extended period and am planning to relocate soon. On numerous occasions, I have seen the assistant manager treating the tenants as if they are an annoyance. Furthermore, there are several maintenance problems such as mold, some apartments' heating and cooling systems not working, and subpar repair work. The regional manager has a history of favoritism and several tenants are her family members. The current local manager tries hard to be a good example, but the assistant manager and the regional manager are very close. The website claims to have a secure building, but this is untrue. The same is true for the alleged media center/movie theater - there is only a communal room with a TV on the wall. The controlled access is a joke - anyone can enter once the fob is activated. The property manager is also not on-site. The trash is not collected at the doors either, tenants on floors 2-9 must use the trash shoot and those on the first floor of the tower must transport their trash to the dumpster. There is no courtyard, only a dirty parking lot. As for the advertised social activities, all I know of are the Thanksgiving and Christmas meals that were catered. Lastly, I have heard of people having food, medication, and tools stolen from their apartments.more ...hide ...
