The views are really nice. Everything close by.. restaurants, shops, convenient stores, trolleys, event centers.. etc. Abby and Valerie are super sweet and responsive! I felt very safe. Key required access to all doors and elevators, and security was always close by. The community is very clean and up to date. Although they are located in the heart of downtown, the community was very very quiet and peaceful. I really enjoyed my stay here.more ...hide ...

However, if you have a pet that may bark from time to time, it is not the ideal place for you, and you should look elsewhere. Even after paying the required fees for pet residence, my pet was evicted and I was threatened with eviction if my dog was not removed from the premises in a few days, without a reasonable solution or refund. The walls are thin and you can hear loud laughter, and while the management has been doing a decent job, they are not very personable. It is not the most amazing place, but it is definitely the most reasonably priced you will find downtown. It is great that they cater to artists, but Artspace Memphis has room for improvement. The wonderful people, community and residents, and the chance to network, go a long way in making up for the other problems.more ...hide ...

I stayed at an Airbnb for six months and the personnel was friendly but that's the only positive point. The building was deteriorating and the owner spent his money on fish instead of reinforcing the infrastructure. TherI stayed at an Airbnb for six months and the personnel was friendly but that's the only positive point. The building was deteriorating and the owner spent his money on fish instead of reinforcing the infrastructure. There were people of different backgrounds living there and the common areas usually smelled like smoke. My Airbnb host was kind but she said the building had control over everything. The Wi-Fi connection was terrible. I realize that being close to the river involves having bugs around, but it was awful to see dead cockroaches around the building and nobody doing anything to get rid of them or at least diminish the problem. The windows couldn't be opened or, if they could, there was no protection in place, so you would just fall from several stories up. The interior of the apartment was well-designed but certain amenities, like even floors and clean bathrooms, depended on which floor you were in. If you went up to the 19th floor and went down the stairs, it was easy to see the type of people living in each level and where the money was going in that place. The top floors were owned privately and the other floors were available for rent or for Airbnb customers. Even though it was convenient being in downtown, there was no help to locate parking and the space was not reliable. Doing laundry cost $5 per load, so be prepared.more ...hide ...
