We noticed the mold was coming from out of my vents, coming out from behind the light switches, growing all over the cabinets, doors, and furniture. After immediately cleaning I told the maintenance person about the situation he told me it was just dust and that he knew there wasnt a mold problem in these apartments. A few weeks later the mold came back. It got to a point I had to throw out several of my things because they were completely covered in mold. I threw away furniture and a lot of my clothes. I went to the land lady about the situation because I began feeling ill and was told that it was probably something completely different and if it was mold it wouldnt be making me sick and that I was probably just coming down with something. The next day my boyfriend ended up calling an ambulance because I was in so much pain I couldnt move very much. I began feeling sharp pains in my sides and began to have difficulties breathing. The first hospital I went to didnt really help me so eventually I ended up going to a second hospital because my health got to a point I had to gasp for air in order to be able to breath at all. My boyfriend called in a mold specialist and they verified that yes I definitely had a mold problem. I ended up losing a lot of hours at work due to the sickness because Id go in to work and end up getting sent home. I ended up with a $50 paycheck when I normally get about $400-$500 a pay check. So of course my rent ended up being a week late, which was the first time I had ever been late. Normally I pay it early or within the first few days and ended up getting a notice saying to either turn my stuff in or I had three days to get out and whatever was left belonged to the apartments. If you are looking for a place to live I highly suggest going anywhere, but here. If any kind of major problem occurs nothing will be done about it. I know there are several people with a major ant problem as well that isnt getting taken care of.more ...hide ...
