The application process was simple, and the leasing office staff were very helpful. It's an older facility, so don't anticipate any future renovations or improvements. The laundry facilities are a bit dated and require some maintenance, but they do the job if you are in a tight spot. Some of the units have washers and dryers built in - and it's not that much extra a month. Totally worth it. The unit was as advertised and was clean when I moved in. Moving was easy and there were no issues with the neighbors. Since then, I haven't experienced any pest issues, mold, dirty vents, or malfunctioning appliances. The maintenance personnel work hard to keep the place looking tidy. The residents can be a bit of a mixed bag, as this is a low-income complex. The rent is very reasonable for the area - even people making $30,000 can easily afford it. The Oceana district of Virginia Beach is not too bad - I haven't had anything stolen from me or heard any gunshots nearby. However, you should be careful not to leave packages outside for too long. That's something that can happen anywhere. All in all, I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a first apartment. I have brought in three new tenants myself due to my positive experience. The negative reviews from the past are not at all relevant in my experience. more ... hide ...

Ashley and Jessica have been incredibly accommodating and friendly. During the COVID pandemic, Ashley did everything she could to make sure that my children and I didn't become homeless. Most apartment managers don't even bother to listen to their tenants' situations, let alone try to help them. Ashley, however, took the time to help me with the process, while also responding quickly to my needs. She even called me personally to help save my family from homelessness. The only issue I have encountered is the occasional pet owner who doesn't clean up after their dog, but that is to be expected in an old complex. The maintenance team is always responsive when I put in a work order for any repairs, and they usually take care of it within a day or two. My neighbors have never been an issue; although I'm sure my kids can be noisy, no one has ever complained about them or anyone else's children. Parking can be full, but it's not too far of a walk. I've never experienced any issues with the police, robberies, or anything of that nature, and I always feel safe here. I'm praying that rent doesn't go up too much, as I would like to stay another year due to its convenient location near good schools and stores like Walmart and Target. more ... hide ...
