I wouldn't accept enough money to stay here again. The cockroaches are awful, even though we took precautions to keep them away. We hadn't had any prior to moving in. This place is overrun with them. Furthermore, when I vacated I was informed my utility deposit wouldn't be returned as I hadn't been a resident for a year, though the lease didn't specify that I had to be there for a year to receive my almost $200 deposit back. I won't even start to talk about the bag of methamphetamine my child discovered in the car park, the other drug related items found outdoors, the air conditioning not working, the expensive utility bills, the $22/month garbage collection fee, the people living in the forest on the property, the cases of unsupervised small children, the entrance door that slashed the back of my leg from corrosion, and many more. This was by far the least safe and clean place I have ever lived. I don't comprehend how they passed HUD inspections like this. Fully equipped kitchen with full size fridge w/ice maker, full size stove w/ overhead light and exhaust fan, double stainless steel sink w/sprayer and garbage disposal, a dish washer and plenty of cabinet space. All apartments are handicapped accessible, have nice large bathrooms with grab bars in the tub/shower combo and one or 2 two bedrooms. Each bedroom has a walk in closet and there is a guest closet in the living room. The bedroom(s) and living room are carpeted and all windows have mini blinds on the windows. There are large celling fans to help keep energy costs low, plus cental heat and air conditioning. Each apartment has a fire extinguisher, and overheard sprinkler system in case of fire. This Historic Bristol landmark has been converted into wonderful apartments and it connects to the Douglass Senior Center which is next door and offers many wonderful weekly/daily activities.
