I was passing through town on business, and looking for a good restaurant for lunch. Hey, I was passing through town on business, and looking for a good restaurant for lunch. Walking past the front door, I noticed a sandwich sign outside the inn advertising a roast beef lunch for 5.00, 3.50 for seniors. Hey, sounds hard to beat, right ?You can stay or get take out. I chose to stay in. As I just turned 60, I received the senior discount. I received a generous portion of beef with gravy, which was actually pot roast, but tender and tasty. There were two very generous sides- spinach, and \"real\" mashed potatoes. Dessert was a slice of apple pie, with whipped cream. They provided table service. Bottomless cup of coffee, water and apple juice, were the drinks. I was invited to stay for bingo afterwards, and won around five bucks, so I left with a full stomach and a few extra bucks. The people, whom I guess were mostly residents, were very friendly and welcoming. It was a nice experience. If you live in the area, check it out !more ...hide ...
