It is also an ideal environment for seniors to live in, as they are surrounded by their peers with similar interests and have staff available around the clock should they require help. This was my first year working in the Health and Wellness department, and it has been my favorite job so far. The upper management is very compassionate and considerate towards their staff, taking into account the importance of family. Tad, the General Manager, has been very welcoming since day one. When I was informed of the specifics of Washington Oakes during my interview, I was astonished that such a place could exist. From the activities and groups organized for the elderly residents to the scrumptious three-course meals, spotless premises, 24-hour receptionist and medical personnel, outreach to the Everett community - the list goes on! In all honesty, this is a superb place. The staff are incredibly friendly throughout all departments, The Oakes is very supportive of their employees, and it is a safe and gorgeous area for seniors to reside.
