At the end of October, my husband went to reserve dining room one for Thanksgiving day. After calling three times, we were told to obtain the key on Wednesday. We had the space reserved but when I went to bring down some of the food, I noticed that someone had shifted my stuff and set up their own decorations and had food there. I was a tad angry and could not find anyone to talk to, so I relocated to the smaller dining room and fortunately it was empty. I then had to bring back two chairs from the other room. In the end, we had a nice Thanksgiving day with our family, but it was not the best start to the day. We did eventually converse with the woman in the other room who said she had reserved room #1 in October and had paid her deposit and her check had even been sent to her bank (which should not have been done). It was a mismanagement of the office. It would have been very simple to note who had reserved the room that day. Poor management! I also use the pool every day for exercise, but at least twice to three times a month it is closed due to vandalism. If surveillance cameras were placed in the pool, the culprit could be apprehended and the pool would not have to be shut down. more ... hide ...

In reading these reviews it seems that there are some good things about this place but it seems things could possibly be going downhill I have seen this place many times and considered moving there But now Im reading these reviews and it seems like t In reading these reviews it seems that there are some good things about this place but it seems things could possibly be going downhill I have seen this place many times and considered moving there But now Im reading these reviews and it seems like there is a huge turnover in management which is happening all over Somebody also wrote a while back that they had some items stolen out of their car or their car was broken into Cant validate that because dont know if that persons car was locked Someone also said that there was a review on here about insects coming into the building And that is a huge concern of insects infestation Wondering if this is true or if it just happened to one person because of what they brought in possibly It would be sad if this place were to become like the other apartments in Silverdale because it seems so nice and its so close to everything more ... hide ...

The Vintage in Silverdale has been my home for almost six years and I hope to stay here but dealing with the incompetent management is extremely aggravating and frustrating In the last six months we have had so many changes in office staff that I ha The Vintage in Silverdale has been my home for almost six years and I hope to stay here but dealing with the incompetent management is extremely aggravating and frustrating In the last six months we have had so many changes in office staff that I have lost track of just how many there have been Previously we had 3 full time maintenance people and now there is one and sometimes help Many of the problems have been consistent over time indicating that the real problem is management If FPI the management corporation provided decent working conditions and salary they could hire and keep competent help We are currently dealing with a roach problem I first reported the bugs a month ago Twice they gave me a day they would come to treat them and I readied my apartment and arranged to be gone and they never showed up Then last week the exterminator showed up without notice Many residents have pets which is nice but they are not responsible about the pet waste and the halls and furniture are a health hazard for all In the past year we have had at least 5 instances of vandalism to the property and residents cars This all happened in the evenings when staff was not here We circulated a petition requesting they install security cameras in the building and parking lot The original petitions were sent certified mail to corporate and copies delivered to the office in the building There was no response In fact I have heard the copies in the building were thrown in a drawer and never addressed With the constant change of staff the workers are unaware of protocols and rules and we are often told one thing to be later informed it is incorrect This is an elderly population with certain sensitivities and the staff needs proper training and skills which is not happening There is no respect for the residents and we are constantly ignored This building and senior community has great potential to be an outstanding place to live if it were properly managed It is my hope that problems can be addressed and this place will reach its potential A Resident more ... hide ...
