Before the outbreak of COVID, I explored around 10 assisted living facilities in the locality, so when finally she required to move, I had an idea of what was available. Brenwood Park was always in my top three. The other two places I liked gave me the feeling of remaining in a hotel with many shut doors and lengthy corridors, so I chose Brenwood because of its open access for those with restricted mobility. Because of the pleasing sitting areas and unblocked dining rooms, the building is flooded with natural light. The rooms are roomy and can be ornamented as the occupants desire. The personnel are gentle and patient, which was of most significance to me as my mom was not contented about leaving her house and was a bit of a problem when she first arrived. Although visiting is restricted due to COVID, I can arrange visits to her room and if that is not feasible, I can still have window visits with her as all the rooms are on one level. Taking my mom to assisted living was one of the toughest things I have ever done, but the personnel at Brenwood continues to make me appreciate that I made the correct decision.more ...hide ...
