2023-03-25T01:00:03ZThe most awful experience I had with an apartment building was when my lease was ending on July 1st, so I viewed the place a month ahead and told them I needed to move in on June 27th as I had a moving company booked. They said they had a unit availa The most awful experience I had with an apartment building was when my lease was ending on July 1st, so I viewed the place a month ahead and told them I needed to move in on June 27th as I had a moving company booked. They said they had a unit available in two weeks so I finished the application process and was accepted with no hassle and had an appointment to sign the lease. But on the morning of my lease appointment, the office manager called me and said not to come in because I couldn't sign the lease that day without giving any explanation. When I called them, they said they were running a recertification process and I couldn't move in until it was complete. I kept calling every few days because my move date was non-negotiable and they just kept saying it wasn't ready yet. As a result, I had to rent a storage unit and stay on a friend's couch for a month. Even into the beginning of July, they hadn't finished the process and IGNORED ME; they didn't answer any of my calls or messages. I had to find a new apartment and hire the moving company again, which cost me an extra $700. HORRENDOUS MANAGEMENT! more ... hide ...
