We haven€™t seen Jessica on site in over a month. We€™ve even seen other tenants or prospective tenants attempt to contact the office with no luck in receiving assistance.Meeks rentals has recently taken over this property and so far, I am completely unimpressed. They overcharged us for our rent because they didn€™t bother to read our leasing agreement. Jessica, the property manager, is rude, disrespectful and harasses tenants about parking in her otherwise empty parking lot while failing to remove those who aren€™t permitted to park in the back lot, forcing tenants to have to find other places to park that could potentially get us towed. She has also expressed her anger with us not being students at the college, despite the fact that this was never a term of our lease, nor were we asked to provide proof of our student status in any way. The manager and the maintenance crew like to try to enter your home without warning, to the point that we have put up security cameras in our own apartment to monitor our home when we aren€™t there. They€™ve completely taken away the tenants ability to pay via check and instead, we are expected to pay online which includes a $6 transaction fee. The manager is only there when someone moves in as what I assume is a courtesy, otherwise, you€™re SOL if you require any assistance from the office. Not to mention these units are incredibly overpriced for the lack of amenities and care put into the property itself. Cheap carpet that can barely handle being vacuumed, electrical issues, water leaks, obviously old rusty pipes that leak into our water to the point that the water is orange in color, we have to filter everything we drink or use to cook. Overall, I would suggest looking for housing elsewhere.more ...hide ...
