I hope things have improved since I lived there. Some things cant be. Its a sad thing. My prayers go out to anyone living there. I have to be honest. Here are some problems: (from 2007-2008) train passes through too clos e to structures, odors from landfill historically on property, high levels of air pollution from adjacent Aluminum Factory (Alcoa / Arconic ), difficulty removing loud and violent neighbors in a timely manner-ongoing violent domestic disputes with children present, some maintenance men would tamper with your mail ( a federal offense ), some maintenance men would go into apartments without good reason and leave dishes that did not belong to you in your sink and tamper with your belongings, some maintenance men would spray pesticides onto your clean dishes and baby bottles, and serious problems with broken air conditioning for long periods of time in peak summer heat of August, problems with roaches coming from adjacent apartments no matter how clean and tidy and pest controlled you attempt to be, seeing others and personally experiencing unreasonable and illegal eviction practices, many female tenants dealing with very poor and inappropriate treatment. It was a traumatic experience living there. One night there was even a violent altercation with guns directly above my babys room. Also, dont ever leave your laundry in the wash room. I returned on time to discover my clothes and my daughters clothes were missing. Later I found out they were taken and locked up by someone who worked there. They stated that unclaimed clothes would be sold at their yearly yard sale. I was upset, but couldnt complain to anyone. It was staff members letting this go on. They gave me back our clothes which they had locked in a closet in the laundry room just a few feet from the driers! I think they only gave it back because I contacted the office saying I was going to file a police report for our missing clothes. :*( more ... hide ...
