The old County Hall! This building has history. The grounds are always being updated and renovated. The renovated apartments are beautiful! Its obvious they decided to invest wisely. From cabinetry to baseboards ever ything is solid. I am so happy that this is where I decided to live in Charleston. The prices are incredible and you get the amazing smell of Rodney Scotts BBQ every mornin when you walk to your car! (Rodney Scotts is about a 2 minute walk) Oh and did I mention the building has a private parking lot? No need to fight or even pay for parking. You have a well maintained and security patrolled parking lot to leave your car. Just excellent! Thanks to the property manager, Jennifer. She is fantastic for showing me this. In the pass Shady Grove was a great places for a person who is 50 and older. They have change office management more time within a year than I can count on my hand. Maintenance is a joke. My mother heating and air unit h as been broken since the summer of last year and it still not working. The ground level floor is mess with the stain animal fesses. The walk threw has not been pressure washed or at less blow out in over two years. The weather is starting to change still no AC unit. Dont bother to leave a message, trust me thats a joke. If you have an elderly person renting, please keep a close eye on them. more ... hide ...

Everyone was so nice, and they even offered me ice cream while I toured! Cute older property with a ton of potential and fair prices. Although I decided to lease elsewhere because I found something closer to my job, Ast er Place was a very close second based largely on the people that I met and interacted with. I have never had so much fun on a tour! Even with the restrictions imposed by COVID, I was still able to tour with a staff member who showed me their models. You could really tell that everyone who works here takes pride in their job and have so much passion for the property. If I had to say a negative, it would be that the community is a little dated driving in. The interior of the apartments are really nice, but the outside could use some love. more ... hide ...

I currently live here, Wish I didnt. I will be moving out at the end of my lease. They provide poor communication with services they perform around the complex. If youre planning to move here. Dont. The last straw for m e was I was provided a map via my email that looks as if a 5 year old drew it and had no date on the resurfacing of my parking area. I am currently a work from home. So I wouldnt of been hard to reach for them to ask me if I could move my vehicle, yet they decided it would be best to not alert me a month later or try to contact me and have a tow truck come in and move my vehicle for me and charge me for it. But obviously the 6/25 was registered as my area and when I checked that day it looked as if they were skipping my area which I assumed they would since we are towards the back and the parking lot wasnt bad and we had no designated clear date.
