I was a resident of the apartment building for a year and a half; the first part under Crowne management and the last few months under Residences. The building got a makeover with fresh paint and exterior lighting. The building got a makeover with fresh paint and exterior lighting. In October, when the place was being pressure washed, the fire alarm panel outside my apartment got wet causing it to malfunction. This meant I had to deal with an incessant beeping in my living room for three months despite being assured that someone would repair it soon. Eventually I had to manually turn off the alarm every day, worrying if there would be any emergency that I wouldn't get alerted about. When I vacated, they charged me a 'cleaning fee' even though all my efforts were made to leave it spotless; only after numerous requests did they give me an accurate bill statement (which initially showed me owing hundreds of dollars). It appears like they were merely trying to take more of my security deposit than returning it back to me. more ... hide ...
