As I was looking for an economic place to live before I started my job and could afford something nicer, I moved on. As I was looking for an economic place to live before I started my job and could afford something nicer, I moved on. In 2015, when I was attempting to lease another apartment, my credit check unveiled a debt of $200 in collections from Brookside. This perplexed me, as I had always paid my rent on time. When I contacted Brookside, they were unhelpful and stated they no longer had records of me living there. After much research and speaking to the collections company, I found out it was for cleaning fees they had charged me without ever notifying me. I paid immediately as soon as I found out, but this has still been a hassle come spring 2016, as my credit score is excellent but I have to go through more measures to guarantee I will pay my rent.
