At Baxtor Lofts, living here is not what it appears to be. There are many issues with the apartments themselves. In July, new management took over and on September 30th they sent out a letter requiring us to sign our renewal lease by October 10th or else leave. We only received the letter between October 3rd and 4th so we had very little time to decide whether or not we wanted to stay or move. We didn't have a manager for almost a month and a half until they hired one; then they brought in an "instructor" who was supposed to train the new manager but she was extremely rude and aggressive, telling one tenant that if she wanted her rent locked at $698 then she had no choice but sign the lease or pay market price of $850 instead. I'm doing my best to move out of here ASAP! Furthermore, management told us they had every right to come into our apartments whenever they pleased without locking up afterwards; when remodeling happened some kitchen cabinets were detaching from walls due to the first hurricane hitting some apartments which caused rain coming through windows and carpets being damaged along with roaches and ants entering through walls where carpets were pulled up leaving them like people were moving out because of this issue too! Beautiful building however Metro Plains management are the devil Avoid

The Blaschka Tower is such an iconic building in Harlingen I am happy it is getting a face lift
