From the beginning, the encounter was not a good one. When we collected the keys, the unit was in an awful state; there were leaking pipes, paint all over the floors and refrigerator, the bathroom was unhygienic, the light bulbs were missing, the paint job was inadequate, and the dishwasher was broken. It was clear that we had been ushered in without them taking the time to check if everything was in order. On the same day, a neighbor informed us that the 7-Eleven across the street had experienced an incident the night before, possibly involving a weapon – how comforting! Parking was a nightmare; nobody observed the assigned parking spaces, and we received notes from neighbours claiming that we would be towed if we did not move our car, only to learn later that parking was free and towing was not allowed. I was scared for my safety on multiple occasions, as the doors were always wide open and glass doors would unpredictably shatter. The hallways and laundry room were unclean and disorganised. The laundry room was the most repulsive, it needs to be renovated. The neighbours were inconsiderate. There would always be someone shouting in the hallway, or children running and jumping until late at night. We had at least a few stolen packages. The dumpster in the evenings was teeming with rats.more ...hide ...
