My work team and I had a great time spending a week at the Holen B & B during a botanical survey! The historic home had been completely restored, with a focus on style and comfort. The historic home had been completely restored, with a focus on style and comfort. Not only were there some interesting vintage touches (like a clawfoot tub with its original feet and woodwork on the main floor), but it also had all the modern amenities. We occupied all three bedrooms—two with queen beds and one with two twin beds—and were very pleased with our living arrangements. Upstairs, there were two shared bathrooms, plus one more downstairs. The atmosphere in the house and the surroundings felt like being at your cool grandmother's farmhouse, but with plenty of modern conveniences and no kitschy decorations. Our hostess, Peg, was amazing! She served homemade breakfast every morning, and it was always delicious and different. When we came back from the field, she had a sweet treat waiting for us (the brownies were especially yummy!). We also asked if she could provide us with dinner, and she cooked us deviled eggs and a Mediterranean salad—which I liked so much, I got the recipe and made it at home twice already! She took into account all our food allergies and preferences with all meals, and she went beyond what you'd expect from a B & B host. I would love to go back and wholeheartedly recommend this cozy place to all my friends! more ... hide ...

Peggy was an outstanding host for our stay going the extra mile and adding personal touches at every turn The historic farmhouse is exceptional and has been updated for every modern amenity You wont regret staying here
