At first, I liked it; my apartment had a washer/dryer hookup and the staff was friendly. However, I encountered issues with an elderly tenant below me who often called the police over my kids playing and hurled racial slurs at us. In addition to this, maintenance spread rumors about me and other tenants; one of them in particular was unprofessional in his gossiping and possible snooping in apartments without permission. Last year saw things get even more out of hand - there were stories of stalking, harassment, etc., while the landlord had people report on other tenants to harass them. My notice was given and during packing up my possessions there were occasions when I noticed my door unlocked (I have witnesses confirming that I locked it), leading to missing items like a book collection and personal journal - but unfortunately Milan PD couldn't help much with this issue either. In conclusion, living here long-term isn't recommended unless you can keep to yourself; consider installing indoor cameras for extra security measures too - it's a lesson I've learnt! Thank you for taking time out to read about my experience here.more ...hide ...

(The sign outside is for the other apartments, Not the Langman Apartments) @googlemaps #fixthisRENT prices very for individuals and its not the nicest of places yet much better than a group home because you have your own bathroom and kitchen also, its better than having to maintain a house by yourself. There are a lot of pros and very few cons of living in these apartments.\"Inside the apartments, office and indoor community area is Wheelchair Accessible yet, outside is another story.\" Most residents have agreed with that...*Due to all the cracks in the sidewalk which have been there for years with the unlevel ground, it is not necessarily wheelchair accessible. Be careful to not simply trip on the sidewalk because it is possible. Its really not the best place for anyone who is disabled but its definitely better than being homeless or overpaying somewhere else.It took years for the potholes to be fixed in the street / parking lot and they finally fixed some of the sidewalk, they could have done a better job and have not finished the sidewalk. Everythings electric and nothing is gas. Baseboard heaters in the front room and the bedroom, under window air conditioner in the front room ONLY; I highly believe that fans are required for circulation if you want to cool down the rest of your apartment using less electricity keep the AC on energy saver. There arent very many bugs aside from the occasional housefly and other bugs coming up from the shower drain including but not limited to crickets and spiders. Aside from that, theyre really arent many bugs that get in, in comparison to anywhere else Ive ever been such as California and Texas. There havent been any serious ant infestations, termites nor bedbugs. Just report indoor bug sightings to the front office and they will gladly send out the exterminator.Everyone gets their own flower bed. For the most part things should remain in pots but some small flowers can be planted. There is a large enough community room to hold events or birthday parties, just be sure to register it with the front office for approval which is pretty easy to get. The office doors along with the community room and the mailroom with the laundry room, all lock at 5:00 p.m. automatically so dont leave anything in there after 4 to be on the safe side. There are no obvious security cameras. The front door to the office is wheelchair accessible, however the laundry door on the back of the building its not wheelchair accessible so I recommend you get to the laundry room through the front door.Maintenance always seems to be behind schedule and therefore is back ordered other than emergencies. You have to report your maintenance problems directly to the manager, if you report it to maintenance only, it does not get done. There are some things maintenance will refuse to fix most of the time being screen doors or anything that is not built into the apartment. Your refrigerator door not closing properly is also not considered an emergency to them.*Maintenance will promptly fix electrical issues when anything Sparks or plugs do not work. They will also replace the light bulb inside of the refrigerator for free. All other light bulbs you must deal with yourself. Maintenance will fix your air conditioner that comes with your apartment along with the stove and refrigerator if they are not working. Maintenance will not remove accordion doors due to HUD requirements. If it can be fixed quickly, maintenance will be on it instantly as long as you are sure to inform the office and make a maintenance request. If you talk to maintenance directly, it will not get done unless you have already spoken with the office multiple times. Sometimes you have to remind the office and maintenance simply due to all the unfinished work and back orders. If maintenance is not busy, they will gladly look at just about anything, then they will fix it later if its not an emergency.more ...hide ...
