I've been here for four months, and the overpowering scent has caused me to have to go to the ER and spend most of the time outdoors. It would be a good idea to limit the number of fresheners, and not allow people to burn candles, due to the potential fire hazard. The use of scented products is on the rise, and more and more people are struggling with the effects of it. Being forced to inhale someone else's choice of fragrance is comparable to being exposed to secondhand smoke, as it takes away one's autonomy and can have serious health consequences. The scent industry has grown rapidly, with shampoos, soaps, home sprays, hair sprays, moisturizers, and other cosmetics and personal care items flooding the market.
