My mother has been in her apartment for five and a half years. The previous owner had been awful, but the current owner is even worse. Additionally, her dishwasher has not been replaced. There is a leak in her roof which has been present for at least five or six months. As a result, she chose not to renew her lease when the new owner took over. Her plumbing has been broken and the water has seeped into her apartment, making her floor wet. Her stove caught fire and she had been asking for it to be replaced for months; they eventually did, but did not fix the burned overhead or cabinets. She has never had to go to court for rent. Even though they have promised to move her, they have asked for $980 in rent. The apartments are being renovated, but there are roaches in the walls. There is added lighting outside, so it is never dark. This place is abhorrent and no one should move here unless they wish to be mistreated. It is not worth $980. more ... hide ...

Where to begin...These apartments are terrible. The gate is merely for show and doesn't actually work. Furthermore, they are overpriced, so Section 8 would only respond as a last resort. Furthermore, they are overpriced, so Section 8 would only respond as a last resort. I decided to give them a shot because they advertised remodeled apartments. However, there is nothing for children to do here. No pool, no washer/dryer connections, a tiny playground for toddlers only, and no area for older kids. The playground is overrun with about 40 kids and only two swings. Kids stay outside until the wee hours of the morning with no supervision. They knock on doors asking for money and roam the apartments unaccompanied, doing whatever they please. There is noise all night in the hallways, and when you ask them to be quiet, they get louder. Today, I saw five pit bulls on the kid's playground, so I guess that's a dog park now since no one can use it. The owners of the dogs just look at you like it's all right. Taking all this into consideration, I strongly advise you to think carefully before moving here. It's only going to get worse. more ... hide ...
