Recently, our refrigerator stopped working, so we alerted the front office two hours before they closed that it was an emergency. In the fridge, we had around $500 to $600 worth of insulin, so this was a grave situation. Despite telling us that someone from maintenance would come, no one showed up. By luck, I managed to get an extension cord long enough to get the fridge back up and running. My wife had to call again at noon the next day before someone was sent over to fix the problem. It's disheartening that no one from the property has acknowledged how critical this mistake could have been. We were already debating moving because another tenant said rent would be increasing by about $400, and this blunder sealed the deal. It's indisputable that the people here and from MC Companies (we contacted the corporate office, too) have no regard for their tenants.more ...hide ...

They have made my stay here very comfortable. The only issue is that the building/area is in constant repair, however you get what you pay for. Its a quiet complex which I love and awesome neighbors. I have made friends with quite a few! The family dollar and 7/11 down the road have been lifesavers and target is a little further around the corner too. Parking is easy I was lucky enough to park on the street where I could overlook my car. It is a busy road however there really have been no issues regarding Emilita rd and Im right on the street view. The bath tub is a little small, but this 1bd is so roomy and spacious everywhere else man oof plus the closet is a walk in. Great experience. Thank you Sorrento!!Amber S.more ...hide ...

However, the hallways look like tenement projects. Tenants leave trash in the hallways. If you are thinking about renting here, dont think that the entire complex looks like the outside. Maintenance is not very knowlegable. It may take 2 or 3 times for the maintenance staff to COMPLETELY repair what they are supposed to do. Our neighbors fight all of the time, the walls in these apartments are paper thin. Neighbors think they are speaking in a normal tone, they sound like they are taking through a megaphone. If it wasnt for the nice area otherwise, we would have moved by now. Its nice living next door to a shopping center. But, it doesnt mean that the apartment complex is nice.more ...hide ...
