The worst complex in Tucson is North Star Property Management, and it has a dreadful D rating. My daughter applied, paid a deposit, and was told her move-in date. My daughter applied, paid a deposit, and was told her move-in date. Unfortunately, she got a call one day before the move-in date saying that it was pushed back. Then again another week later pushing the dates even further back; finally they informed her that the apartment wasn't available at all! This happened while she was 8 months pregnant and it caused her to lose an entire month of time searching for other apartments. She had to give notice at her current residence by a certain date which now has left her homeless and pregnant.
When we called North Star to explain their lack of competence had caused this situation for my 8 month pregnant daughter, all they could say was "too bad". If deposits are required then apartments should be too! I'll be taking this up with small claims court, news outlets, and the Better Business Bureau so nobody else will have to go through what my daughter went through; not only that but they still haven't refunded the deposit either! Avoid this place at all costs - I wouldn't wish this kind of stress on anyone else.more ...hide ...

This place was abominable. The manager was unprofessional due to their rudeness and attitude. They showed no empathy for people with disabilities and it was difficult for them to park in the handicap lot. Moreover, they This place was abominable. Moreover, they refused to provide deaf or hard hearing people with a strobe light for a fire alert. I lost my sense of smell for two years because I had tested positive for Covid-3 times and can't smell anything. They thought that a small green light flashing was sufficient - how ridiculous! I will find a way to demonstrate the rights of deaf people for health and safety, as the fire alert is of utmost importance. The managers do not care if someone breaks into a car or any other incidents. Also, there was this man I don't know who was living on the property and he was standing outside my door rubbing his groin, making me feel uncomfortable and anxious, so I called the police. I don't feel secure enough to stay here anymore and I hope to find a good place before my lease ends. For your information, please don't try to apply to live here, as the managers have three faces; they are not professional or friendly, and it isn't safe.more ...hide ...

I have been a resident here for almost 2 years. The only reason this review isn€™t 5 stars is because of the area but this review is about the complex. The staff there Jennifer , Wendy and last but not least Tomi , havI have been a resident here for almost 2 years. The staff there Jennifer , Wendy and last but not least Tomi , have helped me tremendously and went above and beyond on multiple occasions to make sure I had my issues taken care of. This place is in an area that has been this way as long as I€™ve lived here, 20 years. So you knew ahead of time where you were going so those folks need to stop. Considering the area these ladies have done the best they could to make this as safe and home like as possible and that€™s no easy task by any means. I needed a home and they provided me one and I€™m both grateful and thankful for that . Thank you.more ...hide ...
