The service and communication I received was terrible and the lack of ethics was appalling. My husband and I had to call to find out if the apartment was available on June 7th and we were told it was. However, no one emailed us to sign a contract and after days of waiting, we learned that someone else had taken our contract. We spoke to four different people and none of them offered help. The last one told us that the entire staff had been replaced and that the apartment might not be available until the 9th instead of the 7th. We explained that since we had come from Maryland, we would have to pay for a hotel if that was the case. In the end, we decided to look for another apartment, which we thankfully found. On June 10th, my husband called to get his money back and they refused. They said that the apartment would be ready by the end of the following week if we wanted to wait, but we had already secured another. We never heard from them again. A truly terrible experience!more ...hide ...

When we eventually settled in a week later, there were maintenance requests to address and neglected areas to clean. The overall atmosphere was unpleasant due to broken gates, noise complaints (at least 8 against one neighbor), smoking neighbors and pets roaming freely. Initially, we thought this would be an enjoyable place to live but it has only gotten worse as time passes; it is overpriced with poor insulation and maintenance service. The only positive aspect has been easy access to the state park and highway for escape from the area.
February 22nd 2022 Update: With AHS's sudden switch over to Rainey Property Management came extreme neglect from staff who are inconsistent with their information given out. The change in management companies was announced just days before rent was due via a note left on our door while corporate refused phone calls/voicemails. I cannot recommend this place as they have no interest in caring for their tenants or pretend that they care - changes are abrupt and last minute here too!more ...hide ...
