We were finally allowed to sign our lease but the mailbox key was not ready either. Once we received the key, it did not work. In addition, the fridge in our apartment was never functional, despite us contacting the front desk several times. We even attempted to contact the corporate offices, but there was no response. After emailing the manager, she eventually replied saying that she was unaware of the problem, although two of her staff members had informed her. It took two weeks to get a fridge. We have still not been supplied with a door handle for the sliding door since originally signing our lease. To make matters worse, the staff gave a random construction worker the key to the wrong apartment. We strongly advise against renting from First Communities - management is extremely disorganized! Furthermore, it is possible to hear someone walking around in the apartment upstairs, even when they are not walking heavily. It is quite frightening, particularly when I am alone, considering that a random construction worker had access to our apartment. Additionally, the creaky baseboards in my floor can be heard by the neighbor downstairs if I am not careful. more ...
