I lived here for quite some time I gave plenty notice when I was moving out as I had just had a new baby and was moving with my fiance to Madison. Myself and my family cleaned the apartment top to bottom before handing keys in. As I was looking at my credit report almost a year later I noticed they had sent a balance to collections. I OWED THEM NOTHING. I called and spoke to their new landlord about this and was told it was for a cleaning fee. I informed him that there should not have been a cleaning fee as it had already been cleaned INCLUDING shampooed. I informed him that the apartment was left in better condition than it was in when I moved in because the apartment had not been cleaned after the tenant before me I cleaned it after I signed my lease. The new landlord told me he would look for my file and get back to me and never did. Its been a month now and every time I call I get no answer I have left a couple messages and no one gets back to me. They want 300$ for something that had already been done not once but twice by me as I had to clean it upon moving in as well as moving out. Had to trud through like 6 inches of snow when I was in active labor because they dont plow the parking lots on weekends and hardly at all. When I moved in the neighbor across the hall had a problem with smoking marijuana. She would do this quite often. Well I left for vacation was gone for a week and came back to an eviction notice under my door for smoking marijuana in my apartment on a day I was half way across the country. When I spoke to him he fixed it and told me to disregard it but it was just like really?! I was pregnant and not here if you are going to serve an eviction notice for something like that investigate first and talk to me.
