Maintenance was non-existent; I had a number of work orders that I had to repeatedly submit, as they would just mark the tickets as completed. The only contact I got from maintenance was one person who came in and said "yeah, your fridge door is broken. You might want to take pictures of it," then left and never came back. My fridge door stayed broken until I moved out. I had to fix the garbage disposal myself six times. To make matters worse, I reported that my garage door was broken. I told the property manager, and she said they had already fixed it months ago and that it was no longer broken. However, the lock was still broken, so anyone could have just walked in. Additionally, there was no microwave, dishwasher, air conditioner, functioning heating, or water that worked consistently. This community has great potential, but it's a shame it's not being managed better. The area it's in is terrific, and the apartments have a lot of character. Although I met all the requirements of the lease, I still lost more than half of the deposit because of being prorated. This did not make sense to me as I had moved out before the lease was up.The building was often under water repair and it seemed like every other week.The water was repeatedly turned off during my showers and it was hard to control the water temperature.Maintenance said there was lead in the water, which would explain the yellowish color.The issue with the loud radiator was never fixed during the two months I lived there, even after I moved to the living room. I was unable to control the temperature of my own room, as it was an old radiator heating system and the heat was determined by the other tenants.No one told me the renewal price, despite me messaging several members of the team. It was too expensive for what you got.It looked like somebody was washing their pet in the washing units and there was an excessive amount of fur.This place is close to a hospital, so ambulances and sirens can be heard at any time.Parking can become competitive.===PROS===The neighbours seemed alright.It is close to Tejon Street, so there are plenty of activities to do.It is close to walking and biking trails. more ... hide ...

It's clear why this place has seen three different property managers in two years. When I arrived in February 2020, the staff were responsive and everything seemed to be in order. However, over the last eighteen months, it has been a struggle to get anything to do with upkeep attended to, as there is only one maintenance technician for two properties. Who thought it was a good strategy to hire a single maintenance person for two different apartment complexes? That's what the upper management went with. My heating system had been dysfunctional for eighteen months, and I mentioned it multiple times, but all I got were promises of space heaters while they waited for the components to get it working. Alas, nothing ever arrived, and my apartment was freezing at times, with temperatures below 0. It is difficult to express how awful this place has been for the past eighteen months. The property staff are inundated and always behind, so please don't move here. Take your money elsewhere because it's a joke, and upper management hasn't taken any steps to address the numerous issues people here are facing. more ... hide ...
