The pool would become overrun with noisy children during the summer. The gym was inadequate for any serious workout. Additionally, the neighborhood was a virtual ghetto, with a trailer park to the south and projects to the north. Homeless people and drug dealers would often be seen rummaging through the trash cans late at night. This made my girlfriend, who worked long hours and arrived home after 9PM, particularly uneasy when I wasn't there. To answer the ultimate question - would we do it again? - two years after leaving Reno, we returned, but this time we didn't give Brooktree a thought. more ... hide ...
