During the summer months, insects come in through the air conditioners in each apartment. Nursing staff are not reliable when it comes to giving out medication on time. I had my parent on a routine of taking her medicine at 7 am and 7 pm, but in two weeks, they changed it to every two hours and even woke her up at night for medicine. This caused her to be hospitalized multiple times and when she was back in her apartment, the night nurse wouldn't give her medicine, no matter how much I begged. Even with the food, the kitchen staff attempted to charge residents for a salad that should have been included and the staff often quit, leaving the residents with only sandwiches for dinner. On the days when there were staff meetings, meals weren't served. Furthermore, some meals weren't senior-friendly, like a chicken burrito with chunks that were too big to chew. All of this resulted in my mother's health deteriorating and having to move to a nursing home. Thank goodness she is back to full health. This place is nothing but a facade...Oh, and the bus trips to the store are unmonitored and they leave the people there for two hours! I strongly advise against this place.more ...hide ...
