My mother might be a bit rough around the edges, but she is a wonderful individual who has gone through a lot - not only due to the pandemic, but throughout her life. When asked about her objectives during the intake process, she said she "just wanted to fit in", and I am certain she has finally found a place to call home. Lesly, my mum was in awe when she saw her new bed set, unable to believe it belonged to her. It was a touching moment for me to realise she likely has never had a brand-new bed set, or at least not in a long time. I am writing this to express my heartfelt gratitude for all that you have done for her - providing her with a safe environment, free from abuse and danger. The attached letter is a token of my appreciation to the generous donors who gave the furniture, particularly the flat screen, to my mum. Please keep me posted - I am located far away, but I will make sure to visit once her quarantine is over.
