They said they would contact us if "anything changes." This caused my family to have to "hotel" and Airbnb for weeks. Ultimately, we decided not to take the apartment and asked for a refund, which they agreed to send to our chosen address. However, two weeks passed and I called the office again and they told us they hadn't sent the check, and we wouldn't be getting a refund since we chose not to take the apartment. They had said they would give us the refund without problem when we went to the office in person and supposedly submitted the request. It appears that they never actually put the request into the system. Nevertheless, I think we clarified everything and now they are dispatching the check. They have not been considerate towards us. I believe that when a family is still living in a unit, not moved, and not returned their keys, apartments should not list it as available, even if people call to inquire.
